Creating a passport photo:

Create the raw photo you will upload.

Choose standard and print size.

Click Browse and choose a file to upload.

Click Upload.

After the upload and processing of the file the download site will open.

Click Download.
Note: In case of failure you will get an error message. Then you may upload another picture. Please read the instructions in Chapters 'Taking the photo' and 'Common failures of face detection' carefully.

To print the passport photo use a photoprinter or develop your photos at a photo laboratory.
Taking the photo:

Take the photo in front of a single colour possibly white background.

Make sure not to have any unwanted object in view when taking the picture.

Make sure not to have shadows on the face or the background.

Take the photo in a room that is well lit with white light.
-
Make sure the model looks towards the camera with open eyes and with vertical head position.

Make sure the camera is in the same height as the head.
-
Make sure the model's mouth is closed and is not making faces.

Use flash.
-
Set the red eye removal function on the camera.
Do not upload:
-
Picture taken with web camera.
-
Black and white photo.
-
Picture the size of which is bigger than 10 MB.
-
Scanned photo.
-
Any photo that was not taken about somebody's face but another body part or object.
Common failures of face detection:

The photo is too small.
-
The background is multicolored.
-
The model is not looking towards the camera.
-
There is not enough light on the face.
-
The fringe covers the eye(s).
-
The frame of the eyeglass covers the eye(s).
-
The size of the head is too small in relation to the size of the whole photo.
